Aftercare
Fine-line and microrealism heal best with a light, clean routine. Here's the short version — I'll also explain it in the studio.
Keep the wrap on
Leave the covering on for the time I tell you (usually 2–24 hours, longer for second-skin film). It protects the fresh tattoo.
Wash gently
Remove the wrap with clean hands, wash with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free soap, and pat dry with a clean paper towel. Never rub.
Moisturize thin
Apply a very thin layer of a recommended healing balm 2–3 times a day. Too much product suffocates the skin — thin is better.
Don't pick
It will flake and feel tight. Let it. Picking or scratching pulls out ink and can scar — especially risky for fine lines.
Avoid sun & soaking
No pools, sauna, sea, or long baths for ~2 weeks, and keep it out of direct sun. Once healed, always use SPF to keep the work crisp.
Give it time
Surface healing takes about 2 weeks; full healing up to a month. Fine details can fade slightly as they settle — touch-ups are part of the process if needed.
